Wood Lathe

I really dont know if anyone on here has a wood lathe, however I am looking for one. I have been searching for a new hobby and I have been thinking about one that i can do to make some stuff to sell to help with my knife collecting hobby. I am seriously looking into making wooden ink pens. I have a friend that has given me enough black walnut and oak pieces to make several of them. He bought a big truck load at an auction and thought that I could find something to do with it. I have promised him that if I do persue this hobby that I will teach him how to use a lathe also. So if any of you have one lying aroud under your work bench and you want to get rid of it, please let me know. Thanks
