WTB/WTT: Backsprings for remington jack

Post by muskrat man »

I have a beautiful remington R153 jack I got it for $8 but alas with all good deals there is a catch; both backsprings are broken ::dang::

If anyone has a junker with good springs or some good springs that will work, I'll gladly buy or trade other parts for them. ::tu::

Don't know which is the R153, but I've got a few Remington parts knives. if you'll get back to me with a rough description and length I'll see if I've got anything that will fit.
Quality should not be an accident. So what is the explanation for some of the knives we've seen in the past few years? (from A Knifebuyer's Manifesto)

R153 is a swell end 3 1/2" jack. 2 blades clip and pen. R155, R151, or R152 are also 3 1/2" swell end jacks that will fit.
Thanks

No luck. FWIW, you might look beyond Remington. From my notes, back in '83 I replaced a spring in a R152 with the spring from a broken Pal.
