Does anyone have a good set of handles for a Case Tested 5172?

I'm probably being overly semantic with my comment... The "5" in 5172 indicates stag. I believe you would have much greater chance of success (but still low) if you could work with green bone handles. The only stag Tested 72 I have seen is the switchblade / zipper knife. If you are willing to use newer stag, the 1960's Case Bulldog 5172's are more readily available and you would have more luck finding a donor from that period.

Them 1960's mainly 65-69 have some of the most gorgeous Stag of any
era out there I think....them 5172's in that era in near mint shape
are rolling along in the $350-$400 buck range...I had 3 of em,
with the bulldog on the wood box and the cutout inside for the knife,
sold them app. 1 year ago and got $385.00 for each of em...
be better off to troll ebay or look on knife handles website for scales
vs trying to buy a parts knife I would guess.

I have slick black, yellow and goldstone, looks like it was a form of plastic originally.

Sorry about the wrong model number. I don’t know the case numbers well.
