Handle Material

I have a tri fold Kabar fish knife I'm looking to restore. I need handle material. I see a lot of these done in synthetic. Maybe the original was bone? It needs to be at least 1" x 4 3/4". I'd like to have something close to the picture. Does anyone have anything?

Bob,
Have you checked Culpeppers? They usually have a few bone handle sheds in 5 inches, I haven't checked with them for the oversized handles recently. What they have varies from time to time.

Come to think of it, let me check out in my shop, I may have some white bone that has a black dyed layer on the top. I think it's supposed to look like stag, but I've never used it.
I will post a picture after while and you can decide whether it's something you could use or not.

How does this look?
Both are 5 inches long and about 1- 1/2 inches wide. The set at the top is more radiused than the set at the bottom of the picture.

Looks perfect! I'll send a pm. I just assumed this would be hard to find.
