Boker 9471 Main Blade

Post by Jeffinn »

I know it’s a long shot but Im looking for the main blade for a Boker 9471. I picked one up on eBay that had really nice bone handles and the bolsters caught my eye but both blades are beat up and broken. It might make a nice single blade knife if I can replace the main blade.

If worse comes to worse, I’ll try to reprofile the main blade.
Thanks!

I can't for the life of me remember the pattern number, but that pattern was in the Great American Story lineup under a different number. And, they can be quite inexpensive.

Thanks for the tip!
I took a quick look on EBay and it looks a lot like the Prairie Schooner or Westward Ho knives from that series are about the same handle and blade profile. I’ll have to do a little digging and see what the differences are.

I've got a Boker 9471 in yellow celluloid.
The blades are not full, but they're not broken.
I really like that pattern. If you can use them would You consider putting my blades in your knife for me to buy?
If you're planning on keeping it, I understand. ::handshake::

That’s an interesting proposition. If I cant find a suitable blade for it I’ll get ahold of you and we’ll see if we can work something out! I like the pattern a lot, it’s the first one that I’ve come across.

Thanks!
I've had this knife for over 40 years, it was My Father's.

I could also just replace the celluloid handles on your fathers knife with some new bone handles if the rest of the knife is in good condition. (It’s another option for you).

I think the springs are pretty weak on mine.
The blades open a little past 90 degrees.
I would love to have a new set of scales on mine!
Pm Me the details and we'll work something out. ::handshake::
