Wanted - Round Shield About 12mm

Post by herbva »

So I recently acquired this Camillus 1988 NKCA annual knife, missing the round shield. The inlay is just a tad over 12mm. I know this is a long shot, but I thought I'd ask. Actually anything around 12mm will do. I just want to fill the glaring hole with something interesting. (Too bad dimes are 17mm.) I've read that this knife is actually a Remington 1123 bullet trapper, but was made by Camillus for NKCA's annual knife. It is a nice sturdy brute of a knife! Thanks! :D

I've used cartridge case heads. .223 and .357 Magnum mostly. The knives sell well with "cartridge shields".

Thanks, that is a terrific idea! Now, how to find one that is 12mm or a tad larger at the base. Maybe one of the old "wild west" cartridges? ::hmm::
