4 different handle varieties. I hope I got in soon enough to avoid the micarta.

I was just happy, to be sitting at my computer, when the notification went out! I'm sure you could get rid of a micarta...if you had to

But the question is could I replace it with a saw cut bone at retail.

Probably. Of course that would be retail + throw in your micarta.

Really like the bone on this one. Brimstone bone from 2008

Eye B Man, what can I say but wow? Brimstone bone, smooth ivory bone, primitive bone, blood red. Wow, all those babies are beautiful. Vintage GEC. Hard to beat.

Guess I must favor the #48s since I currently have more of them then any other GEC pattern.

I guess after accumulating a few more over the years, the #48 has become my favorite by a narrow margin. Picking your favorite is kinda like picking your favorite child or grandchild.

This is definitely one of my favorite gec's.
The 82 dixie is also a favorite. These two are my favorite gec users.

Here is one of my favorite GEC's. Don't see many with the saber grind.

kj, your 85 easy open knife is a beautiful example! Attached is a side-by-side picture of the saber ground spear on your knife to the flat ground spear that was on the 2018 85 pattern.

Thanks for posting this comparison. The blade profiles are quite different. I like the symmetry of my saber ground blade profile.
I should get out all of my GEC spear point blades. I think no 2 are the same; i.e. the spear point blade in each pattern is unique.

Yer GEC is sweet Roland! Sabre ground makes for a very classy knife, as long as it's done in good taste. I think they nailed it with this one

Both those 29's are very nice. I carry a stag 29. I bet if you carried the red jigged bone 29, the bone would actually look even better with slightly worn down jigging.
You've got some very nice GEC's Willy. Problem is: it just makes a guy want more.

Thank you Mr. Roland
. I really appreciate your comments
.
I can't disagree at all, especially on always adding another one to the hoard
.
For now the #29 is going to be a display queen. I'm thinking if i want a edc 29, i'll get myself a "plain jane" Tidioute version, then i wouldn't feel bad about scratching it up a bit, even drop it a few times (don't ask me how i know
).
Thank you again for letting me share
.

This little 25 in Primitive Bone just became one of my favorites! This is such a beauty!! I dig both blades and the way they are set up with the small blade in front.
