That blue bone is very attractive. Any know if it’s an SFO or a standing Northfield?

I believe that is a SFO for Olde Towne Cutlery.

I like the look of the Waynorth ones, especially with jigged bone. I bet they will be in high demand. Does GEC reveal how many knives an SFO entails ?

Roland they do but it will be many months before it gets posted in the production totals. Charlie would probably tell you. :D

Picked this 93 up and decided to make it a user.
This time of year, Fredericksburg, has some of the best peaches, to be found anywhere. About an hour NW of San Antonio, the Mrs and I went up for lunch and to go to one of the local growers. We picked up 7lbs of "seconds". Mama's working on the cobbler now!
The 93 is exceptional at the task of peeling and dicing things. The peaches really jump started the patina. I really like this knife.

I think Charlie stated there were 500, I don't know what the breakdown was between bone and ebony.

I lucked out and got 1 of each, been laid up with a bum knee and sitting in front of the computer all day.

Good for you JohnR. I hope one day to get a jigged bone Waynorth #93.
Those peaches look so good, like they ripened on the tree. It is too wet for peaches where i am (Peach leaf curl) and the ones that will be in the stores in about a month are always rock hard and not that good when they soften. Harvest too long before being ripe.

We have a relatively short window, for getting good peaches. Generally the month of June. Usually after the 4th of July, they are pretty much done. You're right about being ripened on the tree. The "seconds" were $10, for 7 lbs and taste just as good as the pretty ones. The pretty ones were $22 for 7 lbs. You don't get any, remotely as good as these, in the store.

I read somewhere 300 bone - 200 ebony. Do not know how correct this is though.

These Northfield #93s were finished up this week. Oily Creek bone #93s are still being shipped out next week. There are some dealers that have not received natural canvas micarta #93s yet. Keep searching GEC dealer web-sights every day for weeks ahead. GEC is making 600 pieces of each and 100 pieces of SFO knives. Sales manager : Chris Tucker is gone , GEC is doing their best.

Can anyone confirm the time zone of Olde Towne Cutlery? When I look up the city and state for Dawsonville Georgia it says Eastern, sound right?
Their email left that vital information out.

I just received an email from KSF saying the #93 with cocobolo handles had just arrived. I went straight to KSF and already sold out. My email gets updated every 30 minutes so it could be this message from KSF sat in the server while others received it and snapped them up.
This need to buy immediately has never before been a part of knife collecting. I think some of this overwhelming demand is generated by the thrill of competing against others rather than solely a desire for the knife.
I get enjoyment from being able to carefully consider a knife before deciding to buy it. For example my ivory #33 "Conductor" actually sat in the dealer's site for over 24 hours while i considered it before buying it. I think those days of careful considerate buying are gone forever with GEC.
I am lucky i was interested in GEC knives before the hordes descended. And many of the early knives are some of the best.

Okay, it’s official, I’m cursed when it comes to getting a 93 In Cocobolo. I have missed everyone of these. Something occupies me for too long and I get back to my email and poof they are gone already. Man, knifing is hard work!

No hope over here, with the miiliseconds it takes a computer to register in USA, all gone within 1 min of listing. But there are alot worse things can go wrong other than missing a knife. Praying for Mike Latham's son. ::pray:: ::pray:: ::pray::

Yes ! Although we feel disappointed when we repeatedly miss getting a GEC knife on a scale of 1-10 for significant life events this barely ranks as a "1".
We all should keep this in mind because it is not worth getting upset about.
