GEC Fixed Blade Hunting Knives. Let’s see um
For what ever reason I know these aren’t hugely popular. Probably because there’s a ton of options when it comes to fixed blades. But I have to say I really like the ones I have. Know there nothing ground breaking with new super steel. There just well made traditional patterns that have that certain look or soul like there folders. The leather sheaths in my opinion are very nice as well. Here’s a few that I have. Post um if ya got um.

One more an H40 in cherry wood. I like this size better than the H10. H40 has a 4.5” blade and longer handle.

I've never owned a GEC FB, but I sure like the looks of them.
They don't seem to show up very often around my area.

I just have the one. That is not my thumb. I like it (the knife, that is).

Top sheath reminds me of old Ruana sheath.

Yes. Or Buck knives. At one time just about all models had flap over sheaths.

Here are the six I have. GEC’s fixed blades are grossly over looked in my opinion. The quality is outstanding just like their folders.
All three of my H73s have been used on various game. I bought the OD green micarta because I knew I would be putting them to work.
My wife and I are lucky enough to live on a lake so of course there is a lot of fish cleaning going on as well. I was searching online for a good filet knife last year and after looking for a while, I thought I am going to see if GEC ever made any. Low and behold, they did, and they were even in stock on GEC’s website. So I ordered OD green micarta again, one in each length. Havnt got to use them much yet, I have a couple old Bucks I have used for a long time but this year the GECs are going to get dirty.
The other one is an H30, a spur of the moment buy. I had no need for it but I liked the looks of it and it was available directly from GEC so I bought it while I had the opportunity. I have not used it, although I did put my own edge on it so its ready.
