Boker 7593 question

Post by Suredan »

I have a few boker camp knife questions and I hope someone can help. What date range did boker etch the master blade with 7593 on their 182 pattern camp knives? Why did they change the designation to 182? I have both and they appear identical. And what is the significance of the odd characters on the bail? Thanks.

I also have both. The difference is the 7593 is carbon steel and the 182 is stainless. Not sure when the change was made. I too have wondered what the hyroglyphs on the bail signify.
