My post man brought me a 1989 2 3/4" Böker Stockman. Supposedly 1 of 500. ::shrug:: Never used, sharpend or carried but no box.

I have 3 questions for you guys.

1) On a value point of view, is this knife valuable enough to trade it for a nice 2001 Case in the same condition? ::shrug::

2) The seller said it was 1 of 500. How could I find out if that is correct?

3) If it is really 1 of 500 & I didn't trade it, would it be stupid to use it as an EDC? I LOVE the size & I'm sure it would make a nice EDC but as a inexperienced knifer, I don't know if it would be a mistake that I might regret ten years from now. Don't want to look back and think "Man was I stupid for useing that Böker" ::dang:: or something along those lines. ::shrug::

Thanks for your thoughts & input & Thanks for looking! :D

Probably worth about $30. Boker made a lot of these, but they are a little unusual. The "I" in the pattern number is for "Import". There was a time in the early 80s when you could get a 8388 pattern made in either the USA or Solingen. 1989 was one of the few years that Boker actually etched the year of manufacture on the blade.
Sooo.... kinda sorta rare. But not one of five hundred. Nice little Sunday knife though. ::tu::

I just snagged this camp knife. It's a 9361 and it sorta looks like it has jigged bone handles.
What y'all think??... recon it is about a 60s - 70s knife?

It needs some clean up TLC but I think it will be a good 'un.

Late 50's to Mid 60's Mike. I only know this because I found one of the exact knife (except yours is in WAY better shape) and RangerBlueDog told me the date range of mine. Yours is very nice! Congratts!! :)

Cool..... Thanks for that input.
It has a good bit of scratching on the main blade and some sharpening wear but I think it will clean up nicely!

Had this little one in the bottom of a drawer. Got it out and cleaned off the dirt and
what rust I could off the blades.
