A surprise from the "Bay".

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

A surprise from the "Bay".

Post by treefarmer »

Rootin' around in the shallow end of the Bay, I saw this one, 9 bucks with free shipping. Had no idea from the picture what it was other than a Queen, no size info, no nothin'. It turned out to be a well used #28 English Jack, 4.5 inches long, 1/2 stops and a "58-'60 tang stamp, my 1st of this pattern. Strong walk and talk, I like it!

$9? That is like... free! The bone alone is $9 worth of coonfingerin'.

Very cool Brother Phillip! A steal of a deal for sure. That pattern has long interested me.

Appreciate the kind remarks, Fellers! ::handshake:: Seems I'm addicted to old Queens as much as I am to old Case knives and old Camillus knives and old Schrade knives and old.................. ::facepalm::
