Tang Stamp different from embedded scale logo?

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Tang Stamp different from embedded scale logo?

Post by Papas-toybox »

OK you Queen experts. I'm trying to identify age of approximately 25 NIB Queen folding knives and have tried using the reference material regarding Queen tang markings to identify age. The tang stamp does not look to be on the reference material, but the embedded logo in the scale matches the 84 and later logo. I am attaching 2 close up photos for your reference.

Appreciate any help you guys can provide.

Thanks,
Bob

If you can show a picture of entire knife, blades open, it will help.

It's an ACSB (Amber Carved Stag Bone) #1L Swing Guard. I believe these were made post the year 2000, probably after 2005. Since Queen closed their doors, their production database is no longer available on the net so it's hard to get info.
Queen City. My favorite! Bruno. ::tu::
