Queen Cutlery Auction

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Got me wondering just how much will be showing up on the secondary market--I'm sure not as much as Schrade or Camillus.

About halfway down the list was 12 home made drill presses. That would be interesting to see. If anybody from AAPK goes maybe they can get some pictures of the buildings and equipment and share on the forum. ::shrug::

This is cruel and unusual punishment. It's geographic discrimination. Dag nabbit I would sure love to be able to fly out East for this one. ::dang::

This just breaks my heart. While I would love to buy some of those boxes of knives, it’s sad to watch this stuff being sold off. I guess Queen will never come back. It all feels so final now. Any hope of a buyer resurrecting the company is now gone.

Would love to be able to bid on some of that equipment.

I have a sneaky suspicion that there will be a bunch of sub par Queen stamped knives on the market in the near future.

Hate to see Queen gone forever.

I guess the knives left in the factory will be mostly subpar. There has been tons of low quality knives already dumped on the market.

It seemed to me a lot of the knives Queen was producing the last few years were sub-par. Sadly, quality was on the wane for several years for some reason. ::shrug::

Anyone heard what will happen to the Queen, Robeson, Schatt & Morgan and other brand names that Queen owned? Or were they owned separately by the Daniels? Sure would hate to see them end up with some operation like Frost or Taylor, being made in China. Every time I see a Chinese-made Schrade, Miller Bros., etc it makes me want to cry. ::tear:: ::teary_eyes::

I agree Ken.

Even sadder someone will probably buy the name and take it overseas! ::dang::
