Queen Winterbottom bone Folding Hunter

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Harold, that old thing is so far beneath your fine collection you ought to just throw it out. Matter of fact, send it here and I’ll dispose of it properly for you. :mrgreen:

That’s extra nice!

Wow, Harrold! ::tu::
Another old beauty comes to the light!
I can't quite make out the stamp on your prize but looking in some of the old Queen catalogs I did not see the #39 offered with a sheath. The fixed blades had sheaths as did some of the axes back in 1955 for example. Some sheaths were tooled and others plain. It appears the plain ones had a big "Q" logo stamped in the leather. I'll go out on a limb and say that sheath did not come with your knife. My opinion is base on my simple minded logic and is subject to being way off base. :)
