Re: Display
Yea, that's a gem isn't it, very nice.
I'd venture to put a value on it, but I think there is a considerable difference in value between collectors versus putting it on Ebay.
Something in this condition would bring a premium at auction. Minty knives and display , I like it - good luck !

Nice display!
#85, 1976, MSRP $435

Thanks vit. Good info. Harold
Re: Display
Well if you valued each knife at $25 plus $50 for the case ( I think it's worth more) you'd be looking at $500. Not sure if some are worth more but I think that'd be a minimum.

The retail price in 1979 was already $537.75, and I wouldn't sell it for less than it cost 44 years ago .
Re: Display
Harold your friend has a nice case full of long line Camillus knives. As to a value , it really depends on the buyer ,and Camillus of this period isn’t selling well . There’s not much demand from collectors as it’s not old enough or unique. There’s a wildlife series ,original case and knives for 1200 and hasn’t sold in several months . This one cabinet would bring 125 to 175 empty on eBay ( believe there’s a couple available now ) . The knives are all Delrin or plastic covered and really don’t bring much on the open market . The 65, 72 and a couple others might bring 40 to 50 bucks tops . The rest like Eric mentioned are about 25 bucks each . However as Vit said it’s worth more than the original MSRP . You would think it to be worth a lot more ,but these just don’t sell that well . If you could get anything above 750 , I would take that . Personally as a Camillus collector I would pass on it as there is not much resale value in it right now ,maybe in 5/ 10 years it’ll be worth a bit more but not in today’s market . This is just my personal opinion and please take it as such .
