Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

After seeing some of the old camillus knives I thought I would dig out my one of grandpa's. He passed away in 1995 . I got because I wanted it because it was my grandpa's and no one else did . He was rough on it and he carried it a long time .

Camillus hat trick day
Camillus hat trick day
Mailman dropped these off at lunch time. My main collecting focus is American made stockman but I have a second addiction now with almost any decent Camillus I can find.

The muskrat is unused and nearly perfect except for a tiny bit of rust and a blade centering issue.

I have to say that the equal end cigar moose impressed me more than I thought it would, excellent centering, perfect f&f, and it even has half stops. Perfect size for the watch pocket.

The 716 Yello-Jaket is just one sweet knife. Easy opening with incredibly smooth walk and rock solid lockup. Got the box and paper with a it but not the original sheath hopefully I can find one someday.

I have this Canoe.
Maybe someone can answer this for me. I dug my canoes out to post in the do you canoe post. I never notice before but the Camillus only uses 1 spring while my Case and Rough Riders use a spring for each blade. Was Camillus the only ones to do this?

tnorton, your Barlow pics are not showing.
Here is a Camillus 47, a 4 1/2" lockback Hunter. Is this a somewhat rare knife ? I used to have a very similar one marked "Buck", most likely also made by Camillus.
