Re: Camillus Boy Scout knives
Yesterday afternoon this joined my collection. It is a CAMILLUS (1047), 3 blades, a swelled center, white handles, a long line tang stamp, no pattern # stamp, 3 5/8" closed, Boy Scout "whittler" pocket knife. This is only my second CAMILLUS (1047) that has white handles. It did need some very minor cleaning. But more importantly, there are NO CRACKS anywhere on the handles. I took some pictures and here it is.

This one is getting harder to find in decent shape. And no cracks in the covers by the pins ,even harder to find .
Stay safe out there

Nice one, Skip.

A super find skip. Especially to find one without a crack near the shield.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 7:38 am Yesterday afternoon this joined my collection. Thank you Smitty.
Two of the blades have minor issues.
But, considering what I paid for it, I do not have any complaints.

Re: Camillus Boy Scout knives
Picked this one up from one of our AAPK members yesterday. It's a beautiful middle size pocket knife
with rich bone color. Very tight with a lot of snap still in it.

The latest version of the #1885 knife by Camillus. It seems to me that the marking stamp had excessive wear.

Re: Camillus Boy Scout knives
Vit, Great seeing you here and posting . Nice #1885
You think the stamp itself was wore out ? That would explain why your tang stamp looks like that . Very interesting.

Never seen this before . I think it's not factory customization.
