Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Received my first 72 short line WITHOUT shield . Don’t know if it’s me or just don’t see many short lines without shields?
This one from the bay had a little rust ,which I removed most of it . One spring has slight pitting. This one was listed buy it now 10.50 US dollars. That didn’t take long to hit buy now .

Good looking Fisherman's Luck. Just keep an eye on it. The handles were made of Pyroxylin which is basically a type of celluloid.

From the forum here I would estimate: circa 1902 to 1915. Does that sound correct? ::hmm::

::tu:: Someday I'll find one of those. I had a Case rigger's knife when I was in the Navy, and gave it to a fellow Sailor (I needed to lighten the load before flying out of Honolulu). I can only hope he still uses and enjoys it.

That is a great story! I still have a knife givien to me under similar circumstances and I still have it and use it to this day. I love the feel of a rigger's knife! ::nod:: I also use one a lot as I haul a lot of stuff on trailers and I am tying ropes all the time...but not always making the best knots.. ::facepalm:: ::dang::

I'll have a couple of Camillus knives to show soon...but they're probably not quite as cool as that jack knife. That is indeed a nice one, and nice backgrounds, too.
