Re: camillus #72
The Camillus first gen 72 bone handles double saber grind on the master 1946-50 shortline is in my opinion one of the most undervalued classic knives that one can possess. If you see one you had better get it!

I just picked this one up...I have never studied these, but I assume that this one is a short line?
Nice tan Rogers bone, blades have seen very little use.

Aye Laddie. Sweet old bone handled short line, made in the late '40s or very early '50s. Excellent acquisition.

All right boys, got a question..... Which knife is the oldest? Both being short line, etc., Greg's knife has the pen with the master and Steve's has the coping blade with the master.

Re: camillus #72
Even though that is a later knife than the first gen, I wonder which is more rare? There couldn't have been many of them made since bone handled 72's didn't last very long after the blade configuration change.

Re: camillus #72
Judging by my meager results searching for shortlines (and bone 72s in general) I've gotta think either configuration is rarer than hen's teeth these days.
