Thanks Tommy! I think that old Roger's bone on any knife is getting pretty scarce. You've got to snag those any time you find a good one.carrmillus wrote:..nice one, greg!!....the one I have I've had for years and they are really getting scarce now!!!.......... .......gsmith7158 wrote:Here's one I just picked up . Since we've got this thread fired up I should go ahead and post the pearl whittler I just recently won on Ebay and get some opinions on the stamp that is on the small clip. It doesn't have the line-dot-line under the curved Camillus. I think this stamp is described in Goins but I'm not sure.

Added a few more to the Camillus folder, a three line Congress, steel bolsters and brass liners, tight and snappy, 4 1/8".
Sword Brand swing guard, nickel bolsters and steel liners. Really like the grind on this blade and the handles are nice...

Tommy, I used to go through Tupelo on my way to Columbus in the mid 90's. Had a project going on at the time, I believe we made some gun/knife shows in Tupelo, I do remember buying some nice knives...good times
I mite as well show this Pearl Whittler 3 1/4", it had to come home with me...

A Camillus WW1 rope knife made for export 1915-16. Doesn't appear to have been used, just laid around all these years.

Doesn't it make you wonder what circumstances have to come into alignment for something like this to "just lay around" for over 100 years. Great find Bob.
