Good point, Greg.
I never made that connection. I had to look that stamp up.
And of course they got their stamp on the mark side and moved Stainless Cutlery to the back.

Thanks fellas. Also thought it different with the two Stamps combined but Sta Sharp on the mark side . And no Stainless shield stamp which thought was unusual as well .

Here’s another little pen knife from Stainless Cutlery Co. New York . This came in a group of knives purchased from Roland . It’s still in excellent condition and if you read the first few pages here he has posted a few pics of it .Other than a little tarnish it looks the same , factory fresh . Measures 3 and 3/8 inches long closed with excellent fit and finish .
The Shine -All is a cleaning product from Hillyard Inc. A goggle search for Hillyard out of St Joseph,Mo. states in part : Founded in 1907 we’re a leading Manufacturer and Distributor of cleaning and hygiene solutions. It goes on more to show distributors all over the country. Even have a distributor here in the valley at a local Auto parts store . So the company has been thru the depression and 2 World Wars and is still around . The Shield on the mark side looks to be a barrel with the Shine - All logo .

This one is the 1st STAINLESS CUTLERY CO for me, when I saw it on eBay I realized it was something I didn't recognize after looking at the tang stamp. Turns out both blades have the same stamp. I have no idea what the black handles are made of, pretty sure it's not bone. Great snap, both blades, don't think it has been sharpened but the edges have been abused over the years. The little pen knife measures 3 1/8" closed.

Thanks for the kind comments, fellers!
Learning this brand was part of the Camillus effort to introduce stainless steel.

That's a really sweet little knife! Whatever the covers may be made of, I like that deep jigging.

Wow!
This thread has been incredible and informative. First of all, some beautiful knives guys! I'm very jealous!
I recently pulled the trigger on bidding on one of these knives before doing any research, just on a hunch (and the price was right) After reading this thread, I am so happy I did so. Unfortunately, I will be breaking the streak of posting very well preserved knives, as this one has seen some abuse. However, I think you will still be pleased once you see it. (Pics will be posted upon arrival)

I looked through the AAPK store and was surprised at the results. You can imagine how many different knives would pop up when searching for "stainless cutlery" on AAPK. (could we possibly get a tab for this in the "brand" category, seeing as how it now is popping up on the radar?) One of the results that had already been sold was an unofficial Boy Scout camp knife! Could you imagine how the trajectory of SS could have been dramatically altered if the BSA actually gave them the bid for scout knife production?? IDK, I just thought that was a fun little hypothetical adventure.

I recommend taking a look in the store. There are a couple others that I have found already which are still available.
Also, stand by for pics.

Oof, she's even uglier in person. Guess I'll have to crack another beer until she gets pretty.

The pics weren't great and after learning a little something about salesmans samples, I thought that may have been what I was seeing. Not sure if that's what this is, but there is some illegible writing on the blades. Any theories?

Another Camillus related knife from New York City.
Sorely used and sharpened but will probably cut string.
Thanks for posting, GringoBombero. ::tu:: ::tu::

And oh yes, believe me I've read through this thread. Very cool history behind these guys. I was just more curious about the blade markings. I thought I may have scored a salesman sample... apparently a very busy salesman who has given many many brutal demonstrations. But now I'm not sure if that's what the markings are. I'll check to see if there is a salesmans thread perhaps.
