The elusive Camillus # 80 pattern

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Stumbled on to this one on the bay. I had been watching for an 80 and had missed one. This one came up and I made him an offer fair to both of us and he accepted. Not perfect by any means as one of the handles has some shrinkage and the blades show some wear but I am pleased with it. Thanks for looking.

Yesterday, this became the latest addition to my CAMILLUS collection. It's a CAMILLUS 80 (only my 2nd "80"), 3 blade, swelled center, milled liners, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. It has a small crack in the handle, at the top pin. This does not cause me concern. It received some minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Here's my other "80."

Thank you JP.🍻
The word "elusive" in the title is a VERY good
way to describe the availability of this particular pattern.
Good Luck!
