Camillus 72 Clones

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

I was asked to post this one in this thread. I found it yesterday afternoon in a antique/junk store. I was told it is a Camillus 1047. I’m sure most who post regularly here saw this in the Camillus 72 thread where I mistakenly posted it. Maybe it can help someone figure out an answer to a question one of these years. You just never know!

Thanks for looking!

This afternoon I added this CAMILLUS 72 variation to my collection. It's another SCHRADE 863, 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. It has a "CRAFTSMAN" shield. This is my 18th "863", but only 2 have the "CRAFTSMAN" shield. Both of them have similar styles/patterns of their handles. It needed a little cleaning. I know that there's a tiny crack by the center pin. That doesn't bother me. I took some pictures and here it is.

Here is the link to my other "CRAFTSMAN 863."

Dang Skip, 18 “863” , do really like the craftsman shield on those . Great snag ::tu::
Picked up this Imperial Scout 72 variation ,the price was right. Had some scratches on main , sanded it down and cleaned it up a bit . Very tight piece yet, even with some use . So off it goes in the clone corner .
Good hunting everyone, take care .

JP, that's a VERY g@@d l👀king Imperial scouting pocket knife
and it's got the "silvertone" federal style shield. ::tu:: ::tu::
Now, you have to obtain the Imperial scouting pocket knife with
the "goldtone" federal style shield.

Today I add another member to my Camillus 72 Clone and Craftsman Family It is a Craftsman 9494 Swell center whittler. It has the Oval Craftsman shield with the Crown around the word Craftsman. It is 3-5/8" closed, and has jigged delrin handles. I believe in the sears catalogs, this may have been the ones called Boneite, but not possitive. The blades do not appear to have been sharpened on a stone, but do have some age spots or spiders. I did not have to do any cleaning and have only oiled the joints.
