Hi Floyd and thank you. No, the other Craftsman had a stamped tang, but no pattern number.
It's back on page 7.

Nice one Floyd! Here is a post I dug up, regarding the same knife pattern and with the same shield.doglegg wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 9:00 pm Fished this little yellow 72 clone out of the bay for $10. No marks on the blades out side of wear and sharpening and a bird on the shield. I have seen that bird else where on the forum but don't remember the conclusion. I'm thinking far east but I really don't know. It is better quality than the Bear BSA knife.
Oh really.... OK.....COOL.carrmillus wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 3:46 pm ...mike, if you had a Camillus like that one, you would have something!!!!!............. ..........
Sorry, but no Mike. It's NOT a Camillus 72 clone, it's NOT a Camillus 72 variation. It's not even close.Meridian_Mike wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 3:31 pm I just got this one so I could do some resto work on it.....
Does this one count as a 72 clone OR do the 2 short blades have to be in the correct order to count?
This one has both short blades on one end.
It's a Henkels
(AND... It's a total shame

Thank you Floyd, I like having this combination. Displaying them together is a challenge. I wish I could find a Camillus 72 stamp.
I was thinking of leaving it the way it is. But I bought a hobby drill kit and this is a good opportunity to test it out. I reshaped the blade so that it has a point. It is the last picture in the original post. While not perfect, it does look slightly better than it did.jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 4:23 pm Looks to be in excellent condition except for the small clip blade being tipped. That can be re-profiled with a little elbow grease and some patience.
Thank you Tom.
