Anyone have "Short-Line Fever"? It's better than Covid-19

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Afternoon Folks ,was looking thru some things and found a short line model 100. It’s been well used and forgotten about till now.
Nothing fancy, used to use it in the shop years ago, time to clean it up and put it away with the other Short lines .

Evening folks ,just got done cleaning up a little 64 short line, got the rust off, decent blade action now. It’s a well worn piece, but seems to have been treated ok. The handles are wore smooth on both sides, someone carried it a lot by the look and feel of it .
Like to find a 68 like Skips, and need a 66 like G dogs and now I got the fever ,oh well . Take care out there you all .

Awesome find JP. You gave the old girl some new life. Cleaned up really well. A bonus being a short line and the awl is not chipped off. Pocketworn doesn't bother me as long as the handles are not cracked or shrunken. Congrats.

This arrived yesterday and it got added to my "general" CAMILLUS pocket knife collection. This is NOT the same #1 that I posted back on June 4. It's another CAMILLUS 1, single blade, hawkbill, 4" closed, liner lock, short line tang stamp pocket knife (1946-1950). Not the prettiest #1 that I've seen, but certainly not the ugliest #1 that I've seen either. It still has a lot of life left in it. It did need some cleaning, I did what I could. I took some pictures and here it is.

It definitely deserves a place in my humble collection/accumulation.
It is sharp as hell and has a very, very, nasty snap. Luckily, it has a
great half-stop also.

Great find and great save Skip. Very full blade, and by your description has a good strong backspring. The old girl has many years ahead of her now.
