Antique Schrade double button, automatic knife

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

This is not a selling area of the site, and, to sell, you need a paid membership.

Welcome to AAPK. If it’s your intention to sell the knife, in order to sell it here on AAPK you need to purchase a premium subscription. You can learn more about that by clicking the box where it says Support AAPK, on the upper right of this page. Then you can list it in the Knife Commerce subforum. ::tu:: viewforum.php?f=49

Your little double end Schrade is a cool little knife but I would not call it very rare. They made thousands and thousands of these and the survival rate is pretty good. They did come in different handle materials and different lengths some being rarer than others.
