Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

That's the only explanation. As long as it takes me to craft an ebay listing, I marvel at his optomism. ::shrug::

If you think that is optimism, take a look at this. I follow Ruana listings and have for several years. This listing has more errors in spelling, punctuation and syntax than the total of the words involved. But wait...there's more! Those two beater common knives should bring about $500 to $600 for the PAIR on a very good day. And that is only if the buyer is willing to shell out some more to get them the spa treatment.

What a bargain, and only $50 to ship.

Well, not sure if this is a "HA-HA" or maybe an idea for all you guys that have all three of the "Old Timer" Prince Albert knives collection. Check this out, just make you a display with a couple of Prince Albert Tins the three knives and a clock. This auction ended this week. https://www.ebay.com/itm/194434781984

I saw that auction and was watching it.

I lost interest when the price went over $100....

Isn't that seller right up there with tommygg and good ol' Sporty when it comes to questionable offerings?

Hmmmmm.....Could be....
I am going to have to check into his other auctions to see..... (thanks for the heads up!!)

I figured the knives and cans were GLUED to the board. SO, I figured I would have to get the glue off the knives to have a good set of the PA knives. I wasn't about to hang a clock on the wall with 3 good knives on it. ::facepalm::
That is why my interest fell after $100 mark.

There is probably something wrong with the knives too....

The one can a 3 knives would easily be worth $100.
They look to be in very good shape.

He has definitely been known to list some obvious fakes in the past. I don't think I would send him any money.
