Any chance of a sticky for fixed blade Schrades?

I thought I better post this as I have had this knife since I bought it new in '89. I only carried it a couple times and it has spent all these years in a box under my bed. It was only this spring that I took it out and re-oiled the blade. It has very little patina and no rust that I can see, however, I did have it in it's original leather sheath for most of that time (I now have it in a cardboard sleeve that I made out of an Apple Jacks box as I lost the original cardboard sleeve).

I also have an LB1 and an LB5 with a broken lock spring that I bought in "86. The first Schrade I bought was an LB7, but I sold it soon after as I really didn't like the size.

Those 165s are fine knives. The original sheath would have been leather. Thanks for showing it; maybe you can put it to work.

Cal, I got these two slightly different models stamped SCCO (Schrade Cut Co) last week to go with my first one. I thought I'd post the sheath that might be original to the larger model to the right (1st photo) since you inquired about a sheath with my 1st SCCO. The knife on the left was the one in that sheath but if it's an original SCCO sheath (which I have no clue) then I think it would belong with the knife on the right based on size. There's no markings on the sheath but it looks old enough and the brass snap button is not your everyday plain type either. Also, it's a left-handed sheath. What do you think?

In the 2nd photo are the other SCCO knives and then their sheaths below that, accordingly. Both sheaths that came with the new arrivals were a package deal and are pretty old but the sheath in the middle I doubt belongs to either knife. The sheath on the right is the new one that I bought for my 1st SCCO. I dyed & burnished it. Thanks

I think the sheath on the left could be original but that is just a guess. If another one of those knives surfaces with the same kind of sheath then we would have a near 100% likelihood of an original match. Until then we can just pretend.

Beautiful Schrade blades, gentlemen. Some I have never seen before. Very nice. These, on the other hand, are your average Joes - 154OT Drop point, 158OT Guthook (not my favorite) Schrade Walden 165OT Woodsman, NOS 152OT Sharpfinger & my user 152OT Sharpfinger.

Finally got the last piece to this set-as far as I know---The Bowie
It's not like new but it's in good shape.
The sheath is in wonderful shape for being about 45 years old.

Those 49r knives are very cool. I have been looking for a very particular one for a long time... maybe some day. The sheaths on those Craftsmans is so stiff they almost seem to be made of wood. VERY durable.

I'm pretty new to the Schrade fixed blade game, but I have a couple to show. Any help on putting an accurate date range on these would be greatly appreciated.

Minty 152UH and 165UH, no boxes though. The seller said these were from the mid '90s.

The 153 has the same SCHRADE SUPER-SHARP etch as the 172, but it is very faded. It also has the Uncle Henry signature on the guard, but no serial number. Both knives came with identical sheaths, but one had a black fine grit stone and the other had a green medium grit stone.

Just got this in from an old collector friend and esteemed Schrade researcher. His words:
"This salesman's sample is number 00009. Photosample would be #00000, then 00001, etc. up to #00008 and then this one. There would have been 12 to 24 salesman's samples made before production ramped up as orders rolled in.
Thus number 9 is actually the 10th knife made. I suspect most of those are either destroyed or in the estates of salesmen or the vaults of the silent big boy collectors. Yeah the #00000 knives were handmade samples made by the Buley brothers used for ad photography and often retired to the company vaults. And the first group of production knives went to the salesmen."
