What is Your Latest Old Schrade?

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

I've enjoyed this thread since it's beginnings, all 99 pages. Some fine cutlery on display.
Mine's not recent, but one I haven't shown before. Schrade Cut Cigar pattern Stockman. Rehandled and jigged by Herman Williams.

I am very pleased with this one as it's in even better shape than expected. Beautiful celluloid, factory edges. May have been shined up just a tad but the blades still have crisp lines as they should. Not bad for its age.

Now Chase, don't dilly dally with getting old bones, jump in. Some anatomy books don't show that many old bones and certainly not in that condition. Wow! ::tu::
Hak, that one is in great condition. Lovely old knife. ::tu::
JohnR just a classic old beauty. ::nod:: ::tu::

I picked up this little dandy recently. Early walden stamp on both blades, factory edges, very nice peachseed bone. Just a little tarnish.
