What is Your Latest Old Schrade?

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

I have to agree Ivoryman, I bought two knives from Jeff a couple weeks ago and he takes the Old Timer to another level. Outstanding work for sure ::tu:: .

Picked up a group of Schrade Cut and Walden's over the weekend. Most of these can out of Mark Nagle's collection. Mark passed away from cancer a few years ago much too soon.He was a very dedicated Schrade collector and had very good taste.
I'll start out with a 3" Schrade Cut stepped bolster jack.

That's a 2553 and it's extraordinarily rare. There was one on ebay a couple of years ago that got chased up over $600 if I remember right. Great knife. ::tu::

Beautiful knives Roger! Mark had one of the finest Schrade Cut Co collections I've ever seen. Every one of them was pretty much mint. You're one lucky hombre to have been able to acquire some!! ::tu:: ::tu::
