What is Your Latest Old Schrade?

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Thanks luckydog.

I am very happy with this find, a nice unmolested 7193 flat bolster jack. Very attractive toast colored bone and swedges for days.

The brass spacer is tapered on this end, they must have done it for blade clearance. A slick solution executed well.

Very nice and in great condition for its age. Another fine addition to an already awesome collection!

Very odd features on that one. The rear swedge on the main, And that tapered catch bit. Interesting piece indeed!

Got lucky at a flea yesterday, found this unused spey blade only 3&1/2" closed knife. Full original glaze finish, only a couple small carbon spots on the back side of the blade.

Here's a group shot of the Schrades I have bought since last year. A couple of them are from the Nilo Miori collection.

I’ve been wanting one of those for a long time. You’re lucky it wasn’t in my mailbox
