Re: My latest Schrade
The later 55OTG and 35OTG, both have their blades, only sharpened on one side.WOW! I've been looking at getting a 5OT, since the 3OT is just a smidge too small for a primary folder; but brown (or my favorite, dark green as on the 5OTG) Delrin hasn't got a thing on stag!
Schrade also made an UH5, they were made about 2003-2004.
Schrade also made an UH55, slightly bigger then the UH5. Exclusively made for and sold by Kmart.
Look out for a C641, the C641 is a very cool knife .
I have seen one or two of the unfinished Blue Bone 5OTs on ebay, over the years.
They were samples, made about 2002-03. My finished set, came without the US Flag in the Display... Ken

Re: My latest Schrade
More sambar stag. This time with the burnt finish. Parker 1976 "Thirteen Colonies" set centerpiece knife. 5-1/4" inches closed.
This example was sold at a reduced price. Seller described it as a "used" knife. There were only 2 pics and generally that isn't good but because it was only $60.00 I grabbed it thinking the stag was nice at the very least.
Here are the two pics I saw when buying it: When I got it in-hand I saw that it had been improperly stored and the spring had begun to corrode as a result. The corrosion built up and started to force the spring and liners apart. I have since cleaned it the best I can without taking it apart and I'm happy with the result. Seeing some daylight between the spring and the liners is disappointing but it shouldn't get any worse. Otherwise, it looks great on display. It functions correctly. I'm satisfied I got my money's worth.

I picked up these 3 new USA Schrades with belt sheaths as a group for my collection. From left, 6 OT, 7 OT, and Uncle Henry LB7.

A fine example! Almost makes one want to go find the jar of peanut butter. A very impressive knife; good score!

Re: My latest Schrade
I don't normally post my GEO SCHRADE knives in this forum, because they are not very interesting or pleasing to the eyes. But I think that this knife is exceptional, a "PAT APD FOR" single blade, jack pocket knife. I really like the coloring and overall look of the handles. The handle highlights are a bright copper color.

Re: My latest Schrade
I've only recently joined the forum but I picked these two Schrade's up this past fall from a couple of different estate sales.
The Shrade-Walden 148 was in the bottom of a box of outdoor/sporting goods items.
The 125OT I picked up at a different sale. It's been heavily used, had the blade tip broken off and re-contoured, but still sharp.

I picked up this pair of Lake and Walkers (separately) in the past month. I prefer 'em way older and covered in bone but I gotta say these are some solid little folders.

Plum tickled to have found this PH2 !
Near mint and appears unused. A spot of verdigris polished right off.
Can anyone tell me about when these were produced?
Thanks for lookin'

Nice find, the knife with the serial number, is a SLW 1 with the BG42 blade... Re: My latest Schrade
Thanks
At a casual glance they look the same and I thought the only difference would be the blade steel but that’s not the case. The frames aren’t from the same mold - when you look at them side by side the differences jump out at you. The BG42 knife opens and closes much smoother and the blade is centered (other knife is not) and even the lock is more precise on it. Overall they’re both nice knives, and now I have a better understanding of why the price gap is so big between them.
