Schrade 4" knives - Post them here.

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Fished this Schrade Walden 804 whittler out the bay recently. It is certainly a big old knife. Was this one also called a Mechanic's Knife?

Yes, Camillus DID make them for Schrade. A few patterns actually, but I think it was between the two bankruptcies, Schrade's and certainly before the Camillus bankruptcy. I am just not sure. They are every equal of anything coming out of the Schrade buildings. By the last decade of Schrade, Camillus and Imperial were just as much a part of the 'Schrade' output as Schrade itself. I think.

I got this one earlier in the week. Nice original, clean and minty 1950's 881, with factory edges. Match striker pull with peachseed bone is not a real common combination on these. I am liking this one a lot.

Paul's 881 up above is outstanding ::tu::

I see in Hak1911's signature that he's looking for an 8813. I don't have one for sale but it made remember I had one somewhere that I don't think I've posted here yet. This one's the stainless variant, so SS8813. You don't see a lot of 8813s, and even fewer in SS.

Thanks ::tu::

The scrim showed up in the mail today which is the fifth (out of 6) 4" stockman made for the 100th anniversary. Now for that elusive 6th pattern...

Here's a couple of wavy's. They are both the same except for slightly different match strikes.
