Schrade 125OT

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Schrade 125OT

Post by doglegg »

Got this one off Craigs list while visiting my son in Seattle. byrd mentioned on here about a 2OT being listed for $10. My son called and ask to see it the next day as we were occupied. That evening someone from NY had called and offered the guy $100 for the 2OT and so it was gone. He found both knives cleaning out a house and to him were just and easy quick $. We did meet and I bought this very well used 125OT for $20. It came with a very heavy duty sheath. I'm not a collector of Schrades but I thought it a good knife.

I don't want to hear about the 2OT-Someone cut an obese swine in the gluteus maximi on that one. But... those 125OT Mustangs are one of my very favorite knives to carry. Good catch! ::tu::

Very nice! Those old Schrade 2 blade hunters were tanks! $20 was a great price.

Thanks Colonel, I have an old 2 blade that I carried in High School. But this single blade is certainly built like a tank. ::handshake::

I used to have one of those Old Timers, lost it on the job. I never thought of replacing it, until now.

::facepalm:: Oh law! I done it again. typing without thinking. I typed two blade instead of single blade.

Oh well, the single blades are tanks too!
