Is it the bone handle 8OT from 1959-'60 ? I think these are correct dates but i have forgotten much of my Schrade information.

That is a treasure; hold it dear! Thanks for showing! Another pic closeup would be great to show the bone.

These original bone 8OT's are as hard to find as the much desired 2OT.

Re: Schrade Walden 8OT
Of all the 100s of millions of knives Schrade made after April of 1946, the knife you show, and other examples like it, are the most desirable, valuable and beautiful of all. They are rarer than the oft-pined-for 2OT. My opinion. And, yes, the original cedar box and paper are equally precious.

That is a fine example! Those ones are few and far between. Extra cool in it's original box.
I don't always respond to great posts but I always appreciate seeing them. Thanks for posting!

Thank you everyone, if I had to make a call on most of the knives in my collection I wouldn't let this one go.

That was my dad's favorite pattern. Here's one he lost for about a year and a replacement I had on hand. There's a third one floating around here somewhere.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!
