I weighed these three knives, all from late SW era with Delrin covers, mint, no oil.
825 open stock 53 grams or 1.86952 ounces
895 open stock 54 grams or 1.90479 ounces
897UH 55 grams or 1.94007 ounces
I used a battery-powered spring-actuated digital kitchen scale, not a laboratory balance, but I do have one of those.
For perspective, there are about 28 grams in an ounce.
895 vs 825

They basically all weigh the same as the tolerances of your scale is likely =/- 1-2 grams.

I heartily recommend these MyWeigh, Triton T3 scales. Accurate to 1/100th of a gram. Guaranteed for 30 years. Cheap. Tough. Lid is removeable to use as a tray when weighing bigger items etc. 400gram capacity is enough for the vast majority of folding knives. Measures in US ounces, Troy ounces or grams as you prefer.
I don't own either knife right now so I can't help with the weight questions.

I don't always respond to great posts but I always appreciate seeing them. Thanks for posting!

Wow, accurate to 0.01 of a gram. That is a teeny tiny bit of weight, like the fluff in a knife well weighs more than this.
Could be used to deal in gold. I'm sure my scale is only accurate to about 1 to 2 grams either way of the reading.
Thanks for showing this scale. It's fun to be able to weigh small items so this would be the one to get if you don't have one.

Re: 895 vs 825
Jumped on AAPK for the first time in quite a while. Good to see familiar faces discussing the slendereeno pattern! I still have several of these, always a favorite. I remember having a K-77 new in the tube at one time. And mint bone covered 825 and 895 or two. As a tribute, I sprung for an example over the weekend. I don’t think I will weigh it though!
