Is this Authentic? Or pieced together?
Looks more like a Sears Craftsman. Lmt. brings my attention to Ducks Unlimited, but no shield or blade etch. Asked the seller, he said it's authentic. Help.

Hmmm, 38 looks, no answers. I figured someone had an idea about this knife.
Maybe this is the wrong place to look for answers?

No... you are in the right place...
I am not exactly sure but if I were to guess....
Maybe that was built out of pieces that were bought up after the factory shut down....
I have never seen one of those myself.
MAYBE, somebody that really knows will correct me.

Seems to me (very vague memory) that there was a late issue that looked like that called Tennessee River Trapper or something like that.

I found this one a minute ago on Ebay from an evil seller, but the image could be helpful here.

There was a run of bone handle Trappers in 1983. This could be one of those but it did not get shield or blade etch.

I bought out the Schrade inventory of a local hardware store shortly after the knife company went out of business. There were several of the wood handled trappers with the fancy bolsters in "Tennessee" boxes. Had a devil of a time selling them. It seemed all the buyers interested in Schrades were skeptical of the knives because they weren't the usual Schrade fare.

This Texas Ranger version is similar, so my vote is legit (in some way). Maybe unfinished? (From Larry's site)

Well, there's at least 2 of them. I just found this in my schrade box.
