Stagmania

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Nice ones, Mikeb...looks like you've been holding out on us ::tu:: I can't help but wonder what other hidden treasures you have stashed away? ::hmm::

Here's my latest Case stag pick up...a 2006 1st Run "Genuine India Stag" 5207 Mini Trapper, naturally!

Speaking of beautiful copperlocks, here's the "Copperlock Evolution Stag Set". Don't see a lot of these, but I always really liked it. Probably because I love trappers, copperheads & copperlocks, along with whittlers, cheetahs, folding hunters, congress, etc., etc... Heck, I guess I love'em all. ::facepalm::

Dang, ka1965, you are really knocking it out of the ballpark with some very fine stag. I believe you are a certified stagmaniac. ::nod::

Thanks Q!!! I hope you'll continue to post those great pictures of your beautiful knives. I'm thinking you may be a bit of a stagaholic as well. I do love the stags and it seems that Case is making fewer these days (especially in the larger patterns). I have a few "Prime Stags" that I will try to post when I have time to get some pictures.
I sold this red stag set a couple years ago for a pretty good profit, and have had sellers remorse ever since.::bad_day::
Don't think I'll be making that mistake again, anytime soon.

  No doubt about me being a stagaholic / addict. ::nod:: And I can totally relate with the sellers remorse...I get a bad case of it every time I look at the photos of all the beautiful stag knives I have owned and sold over the years...I wish I had kept all of them. ::doh:: You can always get more money, but the knives are irreplaceable. I'm now at the point in my collecting that I don't sell any of my stag knives anymore. ::huff::

Funny how that works. I don't think I've ever regretted selling bone, pearl, or even ivory knives, but when I sell some of my stag, I almost always regret it. Like you, I don't think I'll be parting with many of my stag knives in the future, except for the occasional duplicates, but I'll probably keep most of them as well.

May not be true Case knives and the pictures aren't great, but I have always loved the stag on the Case Classics.
