Case Tested pecan budding knife 1202 D&B

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Just picked up this scarcely seen Case Tested 1202 D&B pecan budding / grafting knife. Appears unused. Does anyone know of any recent sales records on a knife like this?

I have seen a couple on ebay over the years. Never sold very cheaply. I think the cheapest one I saw went for well over $200 and was not in good a shape as yours. But that is just from memory. Congrats. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu:: ::tu::

A nice old John Primble sold in the AAPK store a week or so ago. It was listed at $290 though I don’t know what it sold for. Use the store search box at the upper right and search on “pecon” (the seller misspelled the word in his listing).

Very interesting old knife, and a great conversation piece. For more about the pattern see here https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... hp?t=72709 ::tu::
