Newest Case Pick-Ups
Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
This mini trapper arrived today from Sheperd Hills …
A great addition to my collection of USA-made knives with a patriotic theme, however…
Unfortunately, times have radically changed and the inscription is no longer accurate in the US
I will simply have to describe, in words, someday to my grandchildren, what this country used to be like

I agree. Your faith theme sub-collection has grown nicely!

Added this Folding Hunter to my collection but discovered I did not have space in my storage case, I decided to make a display plaque to solve the problem.

Case 63047 from 1978, been using it as an EDC for the last couple of weeks (found it at a pawn & gun). OH

Late to the table here but that "Doc" would make a handsome dual purpose addition to my small collection of Docs & my equally small collection of patriotic knives. Getting a little green around the gills here.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
I don't often find Case knives within my price range, but I came across these two at a thrift store, a month or so back.
The Congress is marked 64052, and I believe that it is a 1980 model. The blades show some wear, but they are snappy and I do love the bone on this one. It has made it into my EDC rotation. The 1972 61048 slimline Trapper is in really great shape. It has a few small freckles and spiderwebs started on the blade. So I used a #2 pencil and oil on it. It is not mint, but still has the factory edge! I don't have the heart to carry it.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Those are both nice finds!
Must be something in the air, cuz I snagged this big ole 5292 recently for a pretty good price. It looks like it’s been very lightly used, just a few scratches in the blades but still has the factory edge. Had some kind of sticky goop on the master blade (might have been tape residue) but a little solvent took it off.

Hi All, I just bought this SOD BUSTER here in Australia.
Initial research of the advertised Fair suggests Aurora Indiana. Can anyone suggest any other alternatives for the Fair that is advertised thanks. Just curious of the history, and thanks for any help.
