ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS CASE XX BOLSTER MARK MEANS ???

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

gino, I'm not certain, but Houston Price, in his book PRICE GUIDE TO COLLECTOR KNIVES, mentions a set that Case issued in 1987: The Jack Daniels Old Number 7 set. 5,000 sets. Three knives displayed on a whiskey barrel plaque, Charcoal Bone handles, Knives were B6108, B6208, B6308.

I can't tell from the pic, but is yours a black bone handle? Maybe this is one knife from a set.

I just recently picked up a B6208 and was wondering about it too. It looks like black though....no green. It also has a numbered bolster, but it's out in the shop and I don't remember the number. I'll find out and report back. The Jack Daniels set with "B" for black makes a lot of sense though. It sounds like how Case would mark something like that.

Hit it on the head...it is from the Jack Daniels Set. I can only assume that the "B" does mean black.

0580 is the bolster number on my B6208. Thanks for the info guys. I also don't have to wonder what the markings are for now.
