Happy Columbus Day, Case Style

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Happy Columbus Day, Case Style

Post by 1967redrider »

Recently picked up this Case Discovery of America, 1492-1992, 500 year commemorative set and thought it appropriate to post some pictures for Columbus Day. This set pays tribute to Christopher Columbus (who happened to be an Italian commissioned by the Spanish to discover new lands) and the three ships he set sail in; the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria. The knives are all Case coke bottle patterns (-050 & -25 1/2), both large and small. Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday! ::groove::

Bringing back an old post from 2011, but adding something for those who celebrate Indigenous Americans Day. I guess this set is more a commemoration of the Indian Head nickel and penny but it's the best I can do. I still have the Columbus set too.

Hope everyone has a happy day regardless of which occasion you choose to celebrate or whether you're off or working. ::tu:: ::tu::
