Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Thanks treefarmer. I've got plenty of the single blades too. ::super_happy::

GARRYOWEN to me is the spirit of the 7th Cavalry.
I will look up the history of the 7th Cavalry " GARRYOWEN " .

Took some pictures of the 64047 P and an 8(?) Dot Cheetah I recently picked up. Price and Zalesky say the Delrin Cheetah is a 7 Dot but I'm pretty sure this is Delrin and at least 8 Dots. The -47 pattern 4 blade has been getting some pocket time, it's a great EDC. ::ds::

1967redrider,
I believe me and you can count at least 8 dots. :) Nothing like a good old Case knife, that 47 ought to fit well in your pocket, if there is room. :)
I found this 3137CV at the bottom of the bay the other day. I usually don't mention price but sometimes that just makes the deal feel better. I thought $12 was a pretty good deal.

Nice find, treefarmer. Took some pictures of the 64047P along with a Muskrat and 6347, all USA era knives, and they all measure up the same (same number of springs and brass spacers, etc.). I'm hoping in time the 4 blade's scales will shine up more like the other two, we shall see.

Sticking with my long-time Mini T theme, but this one has a new twist: slanted bolsters.

He's not heavy, he's my...Monkey!
(I keep thinking that the next one will be the Mini T that breaks the Monkey's back...and that little guy keeps surprising me with the sheer tonnage he is able to carry.) ::nod::

Nice Mini C. Before I got addicted to 07s, I was hooked on 109s...especially 109Ws, of course. Great pattern. ::tu::

Here is a recent pickup. A Case Tested XX Greenbone large Doctor's Knife 6234 3 5/8" closed 1920-40. I have handled a lot of knives but this is the 1st one of these I have seen. Let me know if anyone else here has other examples of this pattern, and as always,

Thanks for looking ::tu::

Hi Fishnbum,

Two very nice looking knives! ::tu:: They remind me of that children's rhyme that went...:
"Fatty & Skinny went to bed, fatty rolled over and skinny was dead." lol ::super_happy::

But they are both really good looking! Nice find!

It's always a good day when I receive a Case pattern that I did not previously have! Today it is a 1984 P1051 1/2L Lockback in Pakkawood. Bought it right here from an AAPK seller. I like it!

Yeah I thought that too, how different they are but both really nice in their own way. I bought several knives thinking I would sell those two and get some of my money back but the more I look at them the more I like them. They ain’t eating anything
Older dogs, I’ve bought a couple of knives from you and they were both awesome. Thanks

Like that Tribal lock! ::tu:: and that lockback is a good one to have TFL.

Picked up this Seahorse whittler yesterday at the Lehigh Valley knife show. Used and was owned by Bill Goodman, bought from his estate at the show. I've been considering one of these for a while and the opportunity just jumped right out at me. :D

Beautiful looking Seahorse Steve! Being new to this hobby, the list of knives I would like to own is very long & getting longer all the time but a nice Seahorse or two are pretty close to the top of my list. The one you found looks great and I can see why you couldn't pass it up. That Green is a wonderful color. ::tu:: :D I'd love to have a Case Seahorse with Flag Shield. ::super_happy::

Thanks for the kind comment TPK. I had a choice, this one or a bright blue. The blue handled one was speaking to me and was saying" I'm too bright".
