Not a new Case, apparently (since they were still using Roman Numerals for the date stamp ), but, it's new to me.

Q, I think that scorched second cut bone makes a beautiful handle! Great pick up.

Picked up 3 Case knives at the antique store yesterday. Beaten battered and bruised but I liked them. Thanks for looking.

Two additions to my pile today. The first is a bomb from Randy (r redden) and the second is for my Mini-Trapper collection (seller's picture).

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
I'm not a big fan of the full size (54) trapper, but I've previously owned two of these 6154W Antique (Rattle Snake) Bone Trappers because I am a big fan of the single Wharncliffe blade. But, I ended up selling both of them for one reason or another and then almost instantly wished I hadn't. I decided that if I ever saw another one for sale at a reasonable price I would get it and hang onto it once and for all.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Yeah, the Wharncliffe trumps all other negatives the knife might have. Congrats ~Q~.
