Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Another Case Wharncliffe to keep the Wharnie ball rolling. This one was acquired through a (somewhat lopsided) swap with my local knife trading buddy. On advice of my attorney (OCD Monkey) I refuse to reveal what I traded for it on the grounds that it may incriminate me!

I picked up a Case Select in what I believe is Chinese Quince burl wood. A small toothpick. I don’t collect a lot of toothpicks but have about half a dozen or so from over the years. I like the size of a toothpick for pocket carry and carried one for years and sometimes still put one in my pocket along with another knife. These Case Select are a favorite of mine since most don’t have any brass on them. This one has nickel silver pins liners and bolsters. If I could go back and start my Case collection over, I would have concentrated more on Case Select and avoided a lot of others.

Very good looking covers on that Toothpick Mark. The entire knife looks like a high quality piece.

Thank you Garry and Smitty. I love wooden covers on knives and this one stood out.

Picked up a couple more Copperheads. Besides the 07 and Russlock, one of my favorite patterns.
