The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Any guesses as to the name of this color bone? It's coming with no box and the auction had next to zero information in it.

Jerry, I believe that little beauty is "Smooth Chestnut Bone"..
Yes...definitely Smooth Chestnut Bone...and a beauty at that. Nice pick up, jerryd.
Thanks for the help fellers. I got to thinking about it earlier this evening and had come to the conclusion that it's Smooth Chestnut Bone. Great minds don'cha know.
If it looks as good in person as it does in that picture, I'm a goner.

My only Copperhead purchase while it's out of the vault.
Good choice...Love the Wharncliffe Copperheads and the jigged Buffalo Horn is quite classy.

I really like that Burnt Cream Barnboard Jigged Bone
You and me both, buddy...and the single Wharncliffe blade made this one a "no brainer" for the Wharncliffe Monkey. I would've bought a Burnt Cream Barnboard Mini Trapper 6207 if it had been offered with a Wharncliffe secondary...or, even better, as a 6107W.

Great looking knife, Q.
If you don't mind me asking, could you post a picture of the Case box the knife came in? I'm curious as to what they look like for 2021, especially if it's black. Borrowing one of Tom's pictures, I'd like to see what it says on the back. Thanks!

Thanks, John.
I don't mind at all...
My 2021 6149W came in this box:
But, I also have an example of the newer style black box (although it is not the original box for the 2008 Russlock 61953L that came in it)
