Thank you gentlemen, much appreciated. It is a well made knife and I have been enjoying carrying it. The axe is another fine american made product, Council in 5160.

Thanks Doglegg. The CS canittlers are getting pretty hard to find and the ones with stag are even harder. I scarfed this one used on flea-bay about two years ago.

Those are very decent indeed. Just for fun I tried to pick a favorite. Hard to choose but finally settled on the Trapper. ::tu::

Thanks QS! That old trapper is hard to beat when dressed in stag. ::nod::

Exceptionally nice couple of knives Charlie. The Bowie, I have absolutely no practical use for but I love it! What an impressive knife. Of course that canoe would be the queen of some collections but just another serf in yours. Great knives. ::tu::

Thanks!

That's not a Bowie, Doglegg. It's a Rio Grande Camp Knife. It's fer when ya spend a long spell in the bush, it slices, it dices, it chops, and it can function as a short sword when necessary!

This is my big bowie. Which, by the way, is a bit shorter and lighter than the Rio Grande and has seen much more use. ::super_happy::

Charlie, my knife knowledge ignorance is showing. I'm not often in the bush so the Rio Grand camp knife would get little use from me. But it would look awfully good in my safe. And of course the Bowie, I stood and saluted when I saw it. You have very discerning taste in knives. I always look forward to you post. Thanks for the schooling. ::handshake::

Charlie those are stunners. I've had the "hots" for a Case Rio Grande camp knife for some time (I don't have much practical use for one either but that's not the point! ).
