Fly Fisherman 14k Gold

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Fly Fisherman 14k Gold

Hey guys,

Has anyone seen one of these? How does their value hold up compared to standard 40 64 era fly fishermans?

I have never seen fly fisherman with those scales, could we see a photo of the tang stamp?

Thanks for the photo of the tang stamp. Hopefully someone will have some insight on those scales. I would have to believe they are attached with some type of adhesive. as the fly fisherman normally shows six pins. Interesting knife - sorry I couldn't offer a clue.

I have seen one or two of those, but I do not know the story on them. My only guess is an aftermarket job done by a jeweler/engraver for a special gift item.
