case xx barlow model 62099

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Pictures would be a big help, but the pattern number should read 62009 for a barlow.

It’s not at all unusual for Case knives from that time period to not have pattern numbers stamped on them.

You’ll probably get more responses to your post if you:

1. Post it in the General Knife forum or the Case Collectors forum. This is the “Tips and Tricks” forum which contains posts about how to navigate and use AAPK. Most people don’t look here that often.

2. Post some pictures of the knives so people can see what you’re asking about. Like the staying goes, “ a picture is worth a thousand words”.
